Folding Work Platforms
Folding work platforms are mostly used by painters and decorators to access ceilings and walls which are at a height. The legs of the platform unfold and lock into place to provide a sturdy base and a safe working platform. A typical folding work platform will be between 900mm and 100mm long with a height of 600mm.
Podium Platforms
Podium platforms are a safer and more convenient option for traditional step ladders. This access platform is made of aluminum and wood. The basic structure of the platform is made of an aluminum tube which is decked with a layer of wood. These are slip resistant and sturdy enough for workers to access areas which are at a height. With podium platforms, the risk of falling is less as compared to a conventional step ladder.
Mobile Access Towers
Mobile access towers are also known as mobile scaffold towers. These platforms are mainly used for internal and external height access equipment. Working on mobile access towers is risky and hence, anyone who works on them has to go through prior training.
Aerial Work Platform
The aerial work platform is usually used to access people and equipment at a height. It is alternatively also known as an elevating work platform. Aerial work platforms are different from the traditional access platforms, they are equipped with electrical outlets or compressed air connectors for power tools. There are many types of aerial work platforms such as the scissor lift, aerial device, and hotel lift. Most of them are powered by hydraulics or pneumatics.
