‘SteelDay 2016’ is an event that will be held by the CISC (Canadian Institute of Steel Construction) on the 16th of September. As participants in the event, we have the privilege of showcasing our production processes to the nation. For the members of the design, construction and structural steel industry, this day will be organized as an interactive and a networking event. We invite all our customers, architects, engineers, contractors, developers, students, educators, and the general public to see our contribution in strengthening Canada’s building structures and increasing various construction site’s structural integrity.
Our Products and Quality:
Our team at Northern Weldarc uses the latest CNC equipment and welding and fabrication tools. These tools and equipment help us develop the right products and deliver practical solutions for various applications and projects. We have the capacity to produce 1000 tonnes of steel products every month while maintaining the highest standards with StruMIS quality control software.
We at Northern Weldarc know the importance of quality as a part of all operations. Hence, we have an established comprehensive Quality System which incorporates both a corporate Quality Manual and a Standard Operating Procedures Manual containing detailed Quality Control Procedures. The Quality System has been designed to comply with the requirements of the International Organization for Standardization ISO 9001:2008.
Event Details:
Northern Weldarc on the day of event will be featuring new and innovative technology including CNC equipment - beamline, drill line, automated cutting system, Anglemaster - coping machine, radial arm drill and Ironworker. We will showcase our various production processes using different tools and equipment. Also, we have implemented StruMIS (ERP), and BIMReview software throughout all our production processes. This helps us keep the quality of all our products in check. Moreover, we are currently in the process of adding Analytics software for BI dashboard. During the event, you will experience the use of advanced machinery and technology.
We always ensure complete safety of our employees and management at the production site. The same safety and protection will be guaranteed during the event. Our staff will ensure complete safety of all the potential customers and general public. Attendees will learn in detail about the steel fabrication processes and the different stages structural steel goes through during its production. Fabrication process consists of tasks such as assembling of complex geometry and trusses, cutting, punching, drilling, shearing, piece assembly and welding.
