March 8th is International Woman’s Day! A day to celebrate and recognize women as well as girls’ social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. It’s also a time to raise awareness of the progress made towards achieving gender equality and the work remaining to be done. Today, International Women's Day is a day of unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy, and action and is celebrated in many countries worldwide.* Every person has human rights, as well as the right to health and safety. Every single person has the right to be treated equally.
The President of Northern Weldarc Ltd. believes in the success that women have achieved and continue to strive and work for. Gayle Holtz has worked in many positions in the company, under the guidance and influence of her mother and father prior to both of them retiring. She has worked in health and safety for the company and established policies, procedures, and standards that we use today. She has also worked as a janitor, in administrative roles, and in helping out in other positions when needed, thereby doing to understand all aspects of the business. Her parents taught her family values, leadership, and dedication to her team. She uses those every day as President of Northern Weldarc.
Gayle is an empathetic and caring person. She has a personal approach to her clients, her employees, and her family. She is a mother, grandmother, friend to many, an employer, manager, and girlfriend. She is kind, generous, and understanding, with integrity through and through. She is one of the best people that you could ever know and be lucky enough to call a friend.
Gayle, strong and confident, is always up for a challenge. She has had a number of struggles throughout her life—one of the toughest was when her father passed away. He was her idol and taught her so much. He helped to make her into the strong and independent woman she is today.
Gayle speaks her mind and seeks the truth, and she is a hero to many here at Northern Weldarc Ltd. She also is very supportive of the women who work for her. She sees their strength and helps to eliminate barriers for them at work and in their personal lives.
Northern Weldarc Ltd. has a strong female force: on the management team as well as an awesome welder! They have the strength and determination to ensure that the NWL team continues to succeed!
