As we all have to work for a living to enjoy our lives, we believe that we can have fun and enjoy our time in a safe and healthy manner here at Northern Weldarc, so that we can go home and enjoy our time with our families, our friends, and enjoy that we are given the opportunity to do things that we like. When we work safely and healthy with a positive outlook, we can have an incident-free workplace that is proactive and not reactive.
Northern Weldarc is completely different than most companies, because of the culture and the relationship that we have with each other. We are a family-run business with family values, we remember our roots and, above all, to take care of one another. As a family, we take care of one another. We remind each other to do things the safe way, as it is the only way.
The Health and Safety department always has an open door for anyone to talk to. We also have a great group of staff who are on our health and safety committee, which was started long before it was required by Alberta Occupational Health and Safety or the Manufacturer Health & Safety Association (who our COR is through). They are very proactive group that are approachable and ensure things like translations of our policy and rules are in place, as well as working toward a continuously-improving workplace that everyone understands.
Northern Weldarc will invest in their staff to ensure that we continually grow. Today, we have four different generations of people who we are working with us: Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and Centennials. Our team from the front-line employees to the office staff have created an environment with the same goals and expectations that every one of us follow. We have a voice, and we are expected to use it. When someone starts at Northern Weldarc, we do an orientation with every new worker no matter their role and assign them a mentor.
Safety is a key component for working at Northern Weldarc. We strongly believe that ‘Safety shall never be compromised in the name of productivity.’ Everyone is responsible, no matter their role, to promote team safety. Our objective is simple: to obtain an accident free workplace through continually improving our Health and Safety program.
Northern Weldarc Ltd. is committed to the highest standard of workmanship, customer satisfaction, and above all, the health and safety of all our employees, customers, contractors, sub-contractors and the public.
